Quote: "This homage is dedicated to Africa. My intention is to bring attention to "The War The World Forgot" and the humanitarian crisis in Congo and all of the suffering African nations. I hope that through viewing my work, people who are not aware of what is going on in Africa will take an interest in getting properly informed. I especially want to show the tremendous dignity, pride, suffering, courage, and resilience of a people that have been forgotten by the rest of the world. With my subjects, I intend to provoke, shock, and hopefully bring compassion …if that is still possible in this world today."
